so uh, just checking the IP rights, it seems to be far narrower than I (and some others) assumed it to be, it would seem that rather than an individual mechanic, it is a copywrite of a specific technical combination of interconnected mechanics. All it would take to get around this, is not have the enemies be defaultly against the player. Realistically, you can make the game, give the player choices, and based on those choices, the enemy is either neutral or opposing your player.
As long as the two npc are not default to opposing the player and do not have a heavy amount of interaction with each other, you are kinda safe.
anyways, ima go make my money printer.
I hated the nemesis system. How many times do i have to kill the same guy over and over. Then getting randomly ambushed in middle of big mission and dying. Losing the big mission and now having to go after the bastard that killed me. The game made me so angry
I think my dream game is a star wars game with the nemesis system. It would be peak but knowing how shit Disney is about managing Star Wars and how good Warner Bros is at being greedy, it will never happen
WB does what nintendont
